-

-
#6This exhaust makes the Suppersprint sound like a fart.
they do loads of stuff for French cars possibly some of the best kit on the market.Quote:Seen their name slapped all over Dodge Viper race cars but never knew what they actually did.
Will do when my gf gives me the camera back -
#7I cant read french very well and their store only seems to be in French, can you tell me if they sell any AX exhausts?
-
#8click on the union jack flag onto of the page and it turns into english
-
#10yep they do, only thing with mine was is they dont do diffo exhausts for saxo and 106 so you have to reweld the back box mount but hey its so worth it
-
#11Possible to link me to it, finding it hard to find anything on the site (though ive only given it a quick browse!)
-
#12Hpi i'l post the link later today with a little sound clip.

#13Looks like theres some really good induction kits on the site, pitty there so expensive!
This one looks much better than the raceland - http://www.oreca-store.com/bo-icirc-...en-filter.html -
#14its a green induction kit. Much more expensive, better made but sadly not perfect.Quote:Looks like theres some really good induction kits on the site, pitty there so expensive!

#15hmmm that exhaust looks a fair bit like my omp inox, what are they like then?
ive just had a look on the website and they seem quite costly tbh £390 i think it was for 106gti/rallye
which is a lot considering the saxsport is 250, and kam racings exhaust is around £250 too, i cant remember the exact price of kams exhaust -
#16Think you'l find they are good as. 90% of Saxo rally cars have em in france. must be a reason for itQuote:its a green induction kit. Much more expensive, better made but sadly not perfect.
OMP is tacky version of it less air flow etc.Quote:hmmm that exhaust looks a fair bit like my omp inox, what are they like then?

Note that one of the collars holding it was loose when i took it. and a dodgy sparkplug causing it to missfire once . -
#17the exhaust system on the website as a inox... http://www.oreca-store.com/lignes-gr..._store=english
-
#18?? bad translation ?Quote:the exhaust system on the website as a inox... http://www.oreca-store.com/lignes-gr..._store=english
Inox = Stainless Steel § -
#19The green is probably one of the best but it still had fitment problems. I know as I used to sell them (still got a few tucked away for safe keeping) Not a concern for a race team but customers paying £200 expected and demanded a better fit. A fair few used to get returned until the uk distributor decided to stop importing it.Quote:Think you'l find they are good as. 90% of Saxo rally cars have em in france. must be a reason for it

#20Its most likely very similar to the OMP. The only problems with the OMP tended to be how they fitted at the manifold end, usually not coming with the flanges to fit. Personally I would like to charge more for our exhaust but you have to balance it against whats on the market. We are more expensive than the saxsport but its a better product. If I thought I could get decent sales if I charged £390 i'd smile moreQuote:hmmm that exhaust looks a fair bit like my omp inox, what are they like then?

#21Think the Oreca Ones are carbon fibre to be honest i'm not sure. but they use a green filter in the boxes anyway from what i've heard.Quote:The green is probably one of the best but it still had fitment problems. Think the oreca also has none of the fitment problems lol -
#22Holy sh*t, best backbox ive ever heard
-
#23is this just the rear box or is it the full system

#25lol that well expensive i think th surpersprint race sound better dnt u think
-
#27and i think they coast to much as well SuperSprint race all the way cheap and one of the best on the market
-
#28would be interesting to compare the results on a RR.
-
#29yeah that a good idea get it done
-
#30Really wish i had a better camera to be honest you'd hear the differance from the suppersprint. sounds nothing like it and better im my opinion.
-
#31yeah they probly do sound diffrent but is it worth paying that much for it may aswell go for the surpersprint race system sounds so nice
-
#32Well not rolling road stuff but it's a start on a 1/2 mile a Saxo VTR with the Suppersprint Race is slower than with the oreca by .2 of a second. tested it today at local airstrip. lucky my mate has this setup on his VTR haha.Quote:yeah they probly do sound diffrent but is it worth paying that much for it may aswell go for the surpersprint race system sounds so nice
Anyway going to see about rolling road in a few weeks, will keep you updated but from what i've seen the Oreca does seem to pop out slightly on top though i must admit the price is high though i only paid 250 for mine they are a wad new -
#33looks blatantly like the green to me. I have a few sets to compare and its identicalQuote:Think the Oreca Ones are carbon fibre to be honest i'm not sure. but they use a green filter in the boxes anyway from what i've heard.

The manifold is the most important on the exhaust system and where the pulse tuning is done, the exhaust being mostly focused on getting the gases out as fast as possible and allowing the use of silencers. If you have not already you should look at replacing yours for a nice gain in power over standard. 0.2 of a second is so negligible you cannot really use it as a basis of comparison especially on two different cars. If the oreca is a 50mm bore and following the same route as the supersprint (certainly looks to be the same silencer diameter) you are looking at 1/2 to 1 bhp max if you are lucky. Certainly I would not spend £80 testing on a rr if I had the opportunity. At least you didnt pay 390euros for one. It looks a good product and is different to what a lot of other saxo owners have fitted but theres little gain in power to be had from a change in brandnameQuote:Well not rolling road stuff but it's a start on a 1/2 mile a Saxo VTR with the Suppersprint Race is slower than with the oreca by .2 of a second. tested it today at local airstrip. lucky my mate has this setup on his VTR haha.

#34Good site lots of interesting stuff on there to get for the saxo.
Btw exhaust sounds sweet! -
#35i agree with kam
you cant really compare the exhausts on different cars, theres so many different factors that can interfere even if you both do have the same spec etc
and again it may well be a very good exhaust, but for how much it is compared to the other exhausts in the uk and the price of say the supersprint, for just a different soundi dont think its worth paying roughly £100 more, and as kam said it may well be better but you only going to be 1 or 2bhp more if that, so again i think thats why people just cant warrent the extra cash for it tbh
its the same with the omp, its a bloody expensive exhaust, welll it was when it was in production, and you may only gain a coupe extra bhp and the sound is immense but the alternative supersprint at the time was half the price and still made great gains and sounded great
still does look like a great exhaust
-
#36I've got a supperprint 4-2-1 from your shopQuote:looks blatantly like the green to me. I have a few sets to compare and its identical

so yeah it is a 50m bore and is pretty much identical to the Suppersprint the silencer is different inside though its more free, will put his on mine when i get a chance and see the differance if any.
and thanks for all the comments about it i'l get some pics up to show you what it looks like from underneeth.
Next on the list is B8's ...
Kam what springs you recomend with the bilsteins ? -
#37Well a few people are running with our custom faulkner springs which seem to work well. Also eibach sportlines match up very well.
As far as I am aware the supersprint backbox runs a 50mm bore straight through rather than running a smaller bore through the silencer to force gases into the silencing material. Might have to double check that but going by the noise its not that efficient
-
#38hehe yeah don"t work get aloot of backfire to be honest and there is not silencing material really.Quote:Well a few people are running with our custom faulkner springs which seem to work well. Also eibach sportlines match up very well.

Anyway yeah your Faulkner springs did pop up in mind... do you ship to france by any chance ? -
#39we can certainly ship to france. We ship all round europe.

#41A friend of mine had it on his 16v, later i bought it. Sounds rally-ish.
