Gasket on its way out? "/

    well basically my car overheats after a certain while then if it goes to high all this water and looks like oil comes out of the radiator cap. its happend to me twice in 3 days now, i wait for it to cool down and then just fill it back up with normal water. i went to a mechanic and he rekons the gasket is on its way out and said it could cost between 350-400? does that sound right?

    Sounds like it. You handy with spanners and can read? Do it yourself.

    Thats a bit pricy, i bought my whole car for 400 lol ... Depending on the model, head gaskets are anywhere between £20 and £60 from eBay. Then if your not very confident with spanners, then im sure someone on here would offer to do it for you for alot less than the garage or maybe a mechanic who is willing to do some cash in hand work
