Recieved mine today and was just curious to ask if anybody else's sit's right up and into the bodywork itself of the cut out or is there anyway to drop it down by like half a inch so it isn't vibrating on the bodywork or is this how they come and by time it will have created it's only recess because it's melted away some of the plastic?...

#2You need to rotate it slightly by the sounds of things.
Best thing is to have the centre pipe loose and the backbox loose so you can get it sitting right. Then tighten everything up. -
#3Yeah i was thinking the same, i'll have a gander in the morning, it literally needs bringing down about this much..Quote:You need to rotate it slightly by the sounds of things.

Then it will be fine and no vibrations or anything, love the sound of it though, dead chuffed. -
#4..
Been thinking just and a quick question, currently i have Powerflex Exhaust Mounts and was wondering is there any other rubber mounts what are the same strength as Powerflex but a little bit longer so the backbox comes down maybe 1/2 inch or so, just out of curiousity. -
#5Is the join to the centre pipe correct? If it is try rotating it as said above, this sorted it out for me
-
#6Like I said above mate, It's not your mounts. It's the way it's been bolted together.
Easiest way is to get under the car,
Slacken the joint between the centre pipe and backbox,
Have somebody behind the car telling you when it's sitting right,
Tighten the joint back up. -
#7the exhaust mounts should not be a problem as we sold many back box's with our motorsport exhaust mounts. You need to loosen everything up and adjust the positioning until you are happy, then tighten it back up again.
-
#8Oh So you mean the Rotate the backbox itself until it sits fine then tighten it up with the olive joint?.
-
#10yea you can also adjust the angle! so its like if you have the tube straight then loosen the olive joint and push it up a little then tighten it again
-
#11Cheers for the help lads, i've just this second got back inside, took me all of 10 minutes, it sits nice and flush now and i've dropped it down about 1/2 inch from the bodywork itself
.
