Removing a body kit

  1. #1
anyone ever removed a body kit or got any tips on how to, it's been professionally moulded in with tigerseal and fibreglass.

would my best bet be using a hot air gun on the tigerseal and then pulling, i don't care about the kit, just don't want to risk damaging the rest of the car.

if its been smoothed over with fibreglass your going to have a very hard time removing it without damaging the paintwork well thats even if you could get it off without damage but i dont think you could

whole cars being sanded/resprayed, so don't really care about the paintwork, just don't want to dent it etc.

when i took a kit off my 1.1 it was siliconed on by myself, i thought the silicone wouldnt be that great but it took me a good few hours to get it off,

the way i did it is hold back the panels and cut the sealent with a sharp stanley
