Hi going to be lowering my car 60mm next weekend. However a guy is offering to sell me a pair of 17" alloys with brand new tyres for £100, which i loved the deal however will i have any great issue with this when lowered? i have amended the rear arches so rubbing wont be an issue

    Cheers

a pair of 17's isn't going to do it, you'll need 4 of them. think 17's are too big on a saxo anyway, look too big and you will get rubbing issues especially on full lock though the extent of rubbing problems depends on the offset of the wheels in question. mandys is lowered 40mm running 195/45x16 tyres and if theres anything in the back it rubs on rough roads

Might be worth buying anyways even if you try them out for a day and then sell them on for a little profit? Im sure theres guys on here that would take them off your hands for a little over 100 ofcourse depending on condition etc.
