Emerald K3 ECU's

Thinking of buying Yate's old one to fix the immobiliser/ECU problem on have on the S...

Just wondering what experiences people have had with them?

Spec and features look very nice on their website, just want so real life experiences of them, mainly reliability and difficulty of mapping?

Also I'll need a VTS base map so if anyone has one that they would be willing to share I'll be your best buddie

    Cheers

Dave Walker is considered a bit of a god when it comes to tuning and ECU/mapping work, he has been responsible for most of the latest technology around today. I sell Mtech automotive`s V4 ECU but would have to say that the Emerald rates as one of the best around... price wise the V4 Mtech is cheaper but I think the Emerald has the reputation

Cheers mate, that's how it reads on the website, just wanted to see if it's a sound as it sounds

Never had any problems with mine, software is user friendly.
And very competitive costs when you go direct to emerald for mapping.
Dave Walker clearly knows his stuff.

Great software, really easy to use. Hugely reliable too. Does everything youd need it to, and iirc works out to cheaper than similar ecus by DTA.

Cheers guys might be getting an unlocked one for now if it's the right price but will seriously consider the Emerald before deciding
