front window glass fitting

hi people right now today i changed my window mechanism (it was f**ked) and i followed the haynes manual and took the glass out! now this is my problem when refitting the glass i put the little grey guide piece back into the window seal as told! but i dont think its gone far enough in as i can still see it a little when my window is going up and down! it looks like it could slip out! any help? cheers
