newest saxo possibly?

   i was driving round town where i live and a black vts drove past me on a 54 plate. i never seen 1 before has any 1 else seen a 54 or even newer?

   Hmmm I thought they only went up to 53. Maybe it was a private plate?

   Can't put a newer plate on than the car was originally registered on.
   
   
   All it means is it was sat about for a bit before it was actually registered.

   i thought they did mines a 53. i think you cant put a 54 on 53 but you can put 52 on a 53. as long as its a older reg than yours its ok t think.

   Are you sure? Its just Iv seen an Astra on a 10 plate before the the new style Astras came out if you get what I mean?

   they still sold the 206 for ages even when the 207 was out for like 2 years or something really popular

    why would it be rusty? probably sat in a warehouse waiting for someone to buy it, and a year later they did so it finally got registered with a plate

    seen a couple of 54 plate vtr's. always seem to be black tho the 54 plates.
    theyre just late registered ones, theyre not on private plates and they were built no later than one on an 03/53 plate

    You can buy private reg's for any car of any age with '10' in it. For example LB10 LEW
    
    On the DVLA website you can choose either the new or old layout for numberplates costing £250

    Wouldn't make a difference, polish doesn't protect anyway. And even if it was waxed (which does the protection), it wouldn't really make a difference to it going rusty.
