weird cutout

    My vtr has cutout three times in last two days in exactly the same spot? it just dies as i come off a roundabout and go down the entry slip on to a duel carigeway!!! a bit dodgy to say the least. it then just cranks as if no fuel but tank is 3/4 full i then spray a bit of carb cleaner up the air intake and it starts but cuts out again, crank it again and its fine for the rest of journey. she normaly starts on the button but of late when cold I have to do the spray thing any ideas chaps as its getting on my nerves now

    very strange. phantom roundabout lol. maybe pump in fuel tank not getting to engine as g force round roundabout , fuel going to side. then again you would have to be going mega quick. try running it on super unleaded 99 and injector cleaner for a week might sort it

    already am using super unleaded and wurth injector cleaner.but thanks anyway. can hear pump prime when cranking after cutout, might change filter as dont know when last done as only had it 3 months but it was serviced when I picked it up from dealer lol so they said!!!

    check the fuel cut out switch under bonnet.

    also fuel pressure regulator maybe on way out as you boot it to go down slip road and it cuts out

    sorted problem as I suspected it was fuel pump knackered stuck in a second hand one from breakers just to see if it was that and hey presto back to starting on the button and no more cutting out
