god dam boot trim

    had two now both where lock smoothed. first i snapped, so got hold of another one. been perfect all week smooth and flat soon as it goes on the car the circle appears from where its been smoothed.
    whats going on and how do i get rid of it doing my head in big time

    Needs a piece of plastic plastic welded into the hole with a skim of filler to smooth, yours is probably just solid filler which will sag, crack and move...

    Go back to standard is the ultimate way to stop it though

    been plastic welded behind is filled with melted plastic to strenghten it its solid as a rock. then skimmed with filler minimal filler may i add.
    first one was done same way but got broke

    needs to be left to cure properly, filler doesn't dry properly for a few days

    by this i mean once you've sanded the filler down and its all in shape and smoothed, leave it for a few days to cure before putting primer/paint on it
