Need Some Help On Gearbox

   Hi im new to this but i have a saxo 1.4i mk1 Westcoast and i have been told that a vtr gearbox will fit straight on with diff ratio is this true and will it be ok as im picking one up for my saxo tommorrow and need know before i buy it incase its untrue and wont fit or work.thanks all

   Itll fit straight on, ratios are different though.

   what will it do to my saxo wont ruin it or slow it down will it?

   As previously stated, ratios are different, you will lose some acceleration effort.

   Will fit.
   
   1st and 2nd are longer on the VTR box. 3rd, 4th and 5th should be the same. Final drives are the same.

   thought the gear clusters were the same and the fd was what made the final ratios different?

   On some boxes yes. Not them two.
