Had this problem a while but moving car on so need to sort it.
One of the two fuses has been left out of the fuse box under the bonnet.
On replacing it with the ignition off the fan cuts in and doesn't stop until the engine is fired up again.
Tried removing one of the battery leads for a while in the hope the ecu would reset the default setting - seemed to work at first - replaced the fuse but after switching on the ignition and then off again, the blooming fan kicks in again and won't stop.
Had this fault all summer and the temp warning light has never come on but with no gauge impossible to tell what temp the water is getting up to.
Any ideas please.
