Overheating

it started about a week ago on the way to work, the temp light came on and i could hear the fan going. after i finnished work and it had cooled down i checked my coolant level, and found it very low! so i topped it back up, ran it for few mins and let the air out the system via the bleed valve, topped it again and drove home.

next day same thing again?? but i then topped it up and ran the car, and checked for leaks, and their isnt any water dripping onto the floor....only other points to note, are their isnt any hot air coming through the interior, with hot seleted and the blowers on full..just cold air. Also the bottom coolant pipe was cold..the radiatior isnt blocked because i checked that, and i can only think of headgasket? but id rather try a few things before stripping heads off, any ideas??

Air lock plus even though there may be no visable leaks in the radiator if your still having problems after bleeding then get the radiator pressure checked for leaks I had the same problem a few years ago the rad looked fine but after pressure testing it was leaking coolant.

well i did the bleeding thing, and at first i got heat into the interior, so all seemed well...and then on the way back from football same thing again....cold air and temp light....im thinking headgasket? ill try and get someone with a coolant pressure tester to test the system for leaks, and if not..ill need a coolant sniffer to detect hydrocarbons? or new headgasket

yea, and another thing, is i only just changed the oil...and it wasnt creamy? and still isnt...i dont wanna jump into headgasket....as it might not be, i tested the thermo and it was fine,..
