Mot worries lighting

   hi all to start off I brought a saxo for my birthday and then found out the backlights were abit broke so I replaced the bulb holders and all the bulbs look fine since I replaced the bulb holders my reverse lights arnt working is there any suggestions on what it could be. My MOT isnt for a while but im trying to get it MOT ready with the money I have now then I can start modding

   might not have connected it right, just try taking them out then putting them back in, then check theres no loose wire you may have pulled out and check the fuse ( if it has one, not too sure) but worth a try aye

   get it sorted but reverse lights dont come into mot's just incase you dont sort it

   Checked it all and still cant work it out anything else it could be. When I go to put the car into reverse gear the light comes on when the gearstick is just entering reverse then when it is fully in gear the light goes off. I think it is a sensor broken but I dont know if the gearbox has a sensor to know when your in reverse and if there is one I dont know how to replace it.

   Should be a reverse switch on the gearbox

   Have a look on ebay theres always reversing light switches/sensors on there.

   just had a quick look on ebay and found nothing for a saxo where can I find this switch/sensor on the gearbox

    found one and its £10.98 is this a good price and where can I find the old switch
