Smoked Headlights?

   Just having a look through other people posts and wondering if you have to buy smoked headlights or they can be done by yourself... anyone any info thanx.

   You can open them.. and smoke =)

   thats what ive heard but how do you open them and what do you use to smoke would normal black spraypaint work or not because of the heat.... is there any threads on smoked lights that anyone knows of?

   Most people just do the above however you can buy them of ebay. Around 90 pound of the top of my head. Just type in " citroen saxo smoked headlights"

   cheers only problem is im deffo getting angel eyes which are around £140 so just wanted to smoke them untill i have the cash realli and have done the other things ive planned to do so for sake of £90 mayaswell wait and get angels but cheers

   search for the thread on here. cost you £10 max! to do.
   open your headlights, ie, take of the glass using heatgun or put in the oven for glue to melt. the split it.
   inside the chrome/plstic bit, sand it down using fine grade paper, then plastic prime! allways plastic prime for a good finish! prime it 2 times, leaving 30mins between each coat.
   than paint any colour you want! 2/3coats will be fine!
   
   heres a pic of my car with the smoked headlights. took me couple hours.

   like saxo_singh said.. but u dont need to prime.. just sand the crome with water sand paper.. like 1000 so, it doesnt mark the base.. then spray with normal blackpaint.. mate is good
