Hey guys went to get in my car today to drive for an interview all in a suit and everything to find a nice puddle in on the floor . I think it is leaking from the top edge of the windscreen on the drivers side...hard to explain but yeah lol. Is there any sealent or anything I can shirt there to stop it or?

    Cheers,
    Ant

I thought if the windscreen leaked, you had to have a new seal fitted?

find out if your insurance covers it, find out how much it is to do on its own... you could always have a 'crack' in the windscreen and have to have it and the windscreen replaced if its cheaper - but I doubt it.

There's no crack in the windscreen, I think some how it's getting in through the seal . I'm jobless atm so a new windscreen is way out of the question sadly...

From the inside is there nothing I could squirt around the edge make it look tidy etc, something similar to tiger seal? I dunno lol.

    Cheers

mine leaked in the last lot of heavy rain. it was the seal and i think one of the windscreen firms put a new seal in it for about £50, i say think because the car is still under warrenty and they did it foc for me.

What I was saying was... depending how much the seal is - it might be worth putting a small crack in the windscreen, and claiming on your insurance. Depending how much the windscreen excess is..

That way you'll get a nice new windscreen, and a nice new seal. But if the seal isnt an awful amount, just get that replaced. If you could find where it was, I guess you could use sealant as a temporary measure? Looks messy though...

mine does the same in very bad rain... its a rubber grommet under the bonnet causing it to leak through under the carpet and onto the floor hope this helped

Oh right I get you. Well my insurance is third party fire and theft so I doubt i'll be covered . Think I'm going to get some black sealant or something there is a small recess where its leaking so should be ok in there shouldn't notice it really.

Thanks for help mate but I've seen it actually dripping from the edge of the windscreen so the leak is coming from there.

use rubber sealant, that part gets covered up by the trim anyway. just make sure it is coming from there. Mine was leaking what looked like from there but was just gathereing there from the sunroof. Has the drainage wells in your sunroof rusted by any chance? this was the problem with mine.
