I cant decide which cat back to buy either piper or the kam racing one its for my vtr

im nt sure which is better because i like the look and fit of the piper better but will it sound as nice as the kam racing one. ideally i wuld like the car to pop and maybe be a bit raspy. Any help? thanks

if you would like pops and rasps then with an 8v engine i think the kam racing system would be the better of the two.

saying that i have a piper on mine and love it but always have wondered if i had got myself a kam racing one..... all the best making your decision.

They are very similar. Same diameter backbox. Ours is a little shorter to get a smoother bend into the backbox so will be a tad louder, and has a different size tailpipe. I'll argue our exhaust system is better made as we were in the position to be able to look at virtually every popular exhaust system and improve the little details...

I had a piper full system on my previous VTS and loved it, but as Kamracing says they have improved their system compared to others. I've never had one from Kam before but it would probably be the best one to get. Will probably get one for my new VTS and i'm a proper piper fanboy! lol

The piper is not bad, but I did not like the way they use two female ends and an adaptor in the middle which is thinner than the bore of the exhaust. Also the pipe enters the backbox at an angle. Maybe it doesnt make a difference to the power but I made sure these were not replicated in ours...

I'd go for the Kam Racing/Supersprint full race system .

I havn't seen many pics of the Kam ones fitted, but on a 106 it looks like the tail pipe pokes out quite abit?

Yea it looks like the kam racing pokes out a bit, at the moment im thinking of getting the kam exhaust.

    about 1-2cm max
The saxo bumper has a slightly different shape and it sits nicely in the recess.

I had the piper 2.5" outwardly rolled one on my vtr and LOVED the sound of it

I can vouch the piper does sound very good. But without a doubt the kam racing exhaust is by far the best for performance but it is very loud with no compromise.
