knocking noise!

   Hi, i have a mk2 vts which has developed a knocking noise from the front when going over bumps or slightly rough road. it feels like something is loose but have had the car up on jacks and couldnt find anything. Ive checked the lower arms etc with a large bar and couldnt find any play anywhere. Also when i accelerate heavily there is a load vibrating noise from the front (usually worse at high revs). Sounds like its coming from behind the dash, sort of deep down in the engine bay. I was thinking maybe engine mount . If anyone can help it would be much appreciated! thanks.

   Sounds like driveshafts tbh.

   my dose the exact same thing and a garage said it were ma ball joint banging on sumert

   mines got this but garage cant find what it is, had it now for about 6 months and still drives a dream so couldnt b important. passed mot with it so.
