front bumper idea!!pics added!!

had a idea 2day while doing a saxo photoshop
basicly i completly smoothe the front bumper and the grill
think it looks quite good ....
but would it affect the way the engine cools dow as no air would get to it ?

the chop is in the photoshop section already if you want to look
  2. #2
Just looked at it, it must completely change the whole air feed into the engine bay imo.

Even to the extent of affecting the air feed into the induction if this is applicable? just my opinion

so could be done just would have to play around with the air flow .... how could i do that apart from vent the bonnet ...

thats mine, im coming up with ideas for a cold air feed, i just need to get a different induction kit i've been looking at then i'll shed some light on it, cause believe me it doesn't half suck hot air in lol

yerr im fully smoothing the front bumper aswell check out the chop i did
so how would i sort the air flow
  6. #6
    bump=]
  7. #7
maybe some sort of cold air feed through a fog light space?
  8. #8
thats the thing if i can get away with it i want the front completly smooth no holes for air feeds nothing and the same with the grill take look in the photoshop section please as i have the idea in there

Will be a lot of work to get a decent flow of air but cold air feed could be done by putting a scoop behind the bumper very low down.might still run hot though.

    Looks ace though.
  10. #10
hmmm sounds way to much work to be honest =[
  11. #11
why not just put the pic in here instead of telling people to go look at another section?

without seing the pic i would say it wouldnt be good for the car and would look pretty gash aswell
  12. #12
    ok sorry
    here you go peeps =]#

  13. #13
I like that, I would personally do the bumper it wide mouth get some air flow into the engine bay and it looks too odd all smoothed i think.
  14. #14
get morretes and have an air feed in each side
  15. #15
its different lol thats why i did it ?
how could i get round the air flow problem
but still keeping it smooth like that

    defo a good idea

doesnt look that bad now i have seen it
  18. #18
i think that looks really good. will definatley have a problem with airflow, just do a couple more photoshops with either an airfeed from grill or bumper
  19. #19
liking this idea mate!! never seen it done before. i wouldnt say it looks odd...just different. something people arent used to seeing. will have to keep us updated as to whether you sort the air flow problem
  20. #20
that looks sweet mate you should go for it
  21. #21
still need to work in a reg plate recess somewhere though....
  22. #22
yerrr i no i do lol i getting there slowly lol
if some1 could find a set of morrets at thesame angle would be gratefull thnx for input guys
  23. #23
had a quick look for some morette pics, wilsy has some but couldn't find anything at the right angle.. from google i got

  24. #24
thanx mate which light would be took out to make air flow
  25. #25
Looking nice, different, go for it
  26. #26
How about a wide flat air scoop under the front bumper..
Could even be sat a few inches behind the splitter so it was hidden from the front

    Artists impression:
  27. #27
but would that work how would i do that if that could work i would do it =]
  28. #28
What do you want it to feed cold air for?
Maybe a hell of a lot of fibreglass

I seen someone use two cold air feed pipes that came to just behind the splitter.
That was feeding the induction kit..
If you want air for the radiator.. it's more work i guess
  29. #29
i thought of this idea ageessss ago lol but i just thought it would create more problems than its worth tbh

my mates clio is like that though but hes left his grille in place
  30. #30
just to keep the engine cool as if it was still had wide mouth or as cool as possible
  31. #31
now that is basicly exactly wat im on bout but smooth the grill aswell
  32. #32
You could maybe just get the double fan setup and hope it would draw enough air from below the bumper..

It'll be a bitch to get looking right.. Think it'd be worthwhile though
  33. #33
how much would a duble fan set up cost ?
also realised i wouldnt be able to put a forced induction on it aswell ?

what do you mean by forced induction?
  35. #35
You can get them pretty cheap on here or eBay. They pop up quite often I think
I'm guessing you're going for looks over practicality... Traffic jams might kill you
  36. #36
lol yerr deffo looks mate lol but only going ahead with this idea if i can find away of keepin the engine cool
  37. #37
    bumpage

these lights look like there like half of it if that makes sence the indicator looks out of place
