iron block, the 130bhp is a urban myth for 2000 reg vts's with the twin prong on the front of engine where the egr valve would go on the later ones, story goes the engine was slightly modified to produce more power that the egr valve would rob the engine so is would still be 120bhp, the 2000reg ones had the mods but no egr valve so they are suppost to have about 130bhp, dont know if its ever been confirmed on a rolling road.

Id imagine its bs as its never been confirmed!

    It's not true, it's a myth

With little money you can turn them into gokarts that will give a few cars a good run for there money

I use to have the "twin prong" head on my vts but it snapped the cambelt and bent 8 valves, it was cheaper and faster to replace the head at the time and i did so with a head that has a egr port, i just blanked it off.

It does seem as tho its missing a bit of its grunt after the repair, i dunno if i should put this down to me getting use to the car or wether the "twin prong" heads actually are a better design
