hi, i have a saxo desire 1.1 and i really want to fit a body kit and big alloys on it, at the moment i have got 15's and it has been lowered 50mm.... but i want 18's on it, how hard is this to achieve with the kit on? and does anyone know of any good body shops around hertfordshire that can do this? and how much do you think it will cost? thanks guys

#218's?
that really is massive for a saxo especially one with flat arches.
You'll need the arches/extending - expect to pay a fair bit of cash for that.
There will be an awful amoumt of scrubbing even with some fairly drastic arch mods.
Still progress was never made by copying everyone else

#3definatly Ad but, IMO they just look too big! 17s look big enough.
-
#4well if im being honest 17's look way too big for a saxo anyway.

#5buy a quicker saxo could be a better option
then your car wont be all show and no go?
But that could be just me? x -
#6has kind of a point.A 1.1 engine will be struggling to turn those 18sQuote:Originally Posted by Soullessbuy a quicker saxo could be a better option

#7stuggling to do any apart from stay still to be honest.Quote:Originally Posted by liamk15has kind of a point.A 1.1 engine will be struggling to turn those 18sQuote:Originally Posted by Soullessbuy a quicker saxo could be a better option

Acceleration is going to suffer.
Tyres are going to cost a bomb
Increased stress on drivetrain
Wheels themselves will cost a bomb
Kit will cost a bomb
Bodyshop will charge a bomb.
etc.
It does require a lot of effort on your part dude, people do have saxo's on 18's so it is possible but your starting with a 1.1 and therefore already starting with a slight disadvantage. If you have the money then anything is possible
