Just wondering as i might get a vinyl roof done but also want it to be very shiny and can polish it up also not scratch like most vinyl roof goes and then you can get them out

Would have thought you 'can' but wouldnt expect the results to be any good atall to be honest.

For the lacquer to stick and not flake off on the first couple of washes you'd have to score the surface of the vinyl first, wouldnt have thought that the vinyl would be thick enough to allow it without taking the colour off in the process.

Wouldn`t you be better off using a silicone spray ie the stuff you use for making the interior plastics shiney.

get some clear vinyl and go over the top and gently apply some wax or polish should be ok

you can lacker over any thing, but it would need to be put in a body shop to get a spot on finish. you can even put real money under your paint work

You can use a clea vinyl mate, it puts a brilliant shine on things

yeah using laquer paint on vinyl would be rubbish, clear over the top would be better.

Also, i'm pretty sure there are various vinyl care products out there as someone used them on one of those new Focus RS500's which are vinyl wrapped
