ive got a sportex manifold on my mk1 had no problems with it up to now been fitted about 3 or 4 months. although i have heard that if its a mk2 (assuming yours is cant really tell from the pic) then the lamba sensor in the heatsheild could mess up and make you ecu go abit wierd and make the car go into 'limp home mode' like i said i dont know how true this is because mines a mk1. also the cat is in a different place which is alot closer to the manifold on a mk2

At the end of the day.. You pay for performance.. Pay £150 for sportex you get that.. Whereas you pay £350 for supersprint it's going to be better in every way.. If it's in your price range then go for it but sportex is pretty good just not a 'serious' manifold if you get me? Lol

Fitted a 4-2-1 Sportex manifold to a mates mk2 vtr a few months back. The one i fitted is the new one Sportex brought out to clear the oil filter (no modifications needed). The weldings were, to put it simply, shit. Well to close to the bolt holes which meant you couldn't screw the manifold down fully. Also, to add insult to injury, the holes didnt even line up.. A file was needed to make the bolt holes bigger just to fit on the block! Full on bodge to get it to fit. Would never purchase one myself or recommend to anyone after this.

sounds like a concise, well informed response. something is expensive, therefore better. smashing.
