Saxo ride bumpy even on smooth road.

    I've trawled every driveshaft and wheel unbalanced related thread and still can't find an answer. Driving down the motorway, my 2001 vtr has a very bumpy ride, initially thought buckled alloy but had balanced and nothing came up. Driveshaft wise, theres no knocking or grinding when turning. no play in the wheel bearings, but still its like im riding over stones and bumps getting shaken about even when driving on a smooth surface. The steering wheel and front also wobbles over 60mph and gets worse as you go faster. Any ideas? Had a mechanic look at the driveshafts and said there was a little noise with his stephoscope but nothing that would render such a result.
