8v and 16v INLET port spacings

right, i know this has been briefly touched on a few times, but as saxp search is shit i cant find anything about it,

im looking for some info/poss diagrams if anyone has them, of th 16v and 90bhp 8v inlet ports spacings, .....how much diff are they?

the reason, before i get rid of my rallye inlet i want to make totally sure its not possible in anyway to fab the rallye inlet to fit the 16v lump, it seems like to good a pyical and visual mod to pass up,

getting it modified/ally welded is not an issue so please post up if you can hlp

You can make it fit but it would be a lot of work and I could not tell you how well it would work. You would have to totally cut the runners off and weld on new ones along with a new plate to bolt on to the head. The best way to do it would be to use an ac tig welder and ideally fill the plenum full of argon.

db pm'd! and ax ive heard its alot of work but has anyone even attempted it? you never know untill you try lol, it shouldnt be that much, as you said id cut the runners off and re create them from scratch, 16 inlet flange shouldnt be to hard to make/source, ill have a look on sat, hopefull picking up a jp4 so can have a good look round the 16v head then

mean time if anyone has any pics/diagrams id much appreciate you to post em in here, will be a good source of info for those who do use the search button
