Gearbox oil ?

   The saxo needs 75w 80 oil for the gearbox, has anybody tried using fully synthetic gearbox oil ?
   
   Hypothetically the thinner & slippier the oil the more power to the tarmac.

   The actually make and type of oil was developed specifically for these boxes.
   
   So it's not even a point of getting the right grade of oil, but the right manufacturer. It's Valvoline's 75w 80 they recommend, and unless running a modified box. i.e. LSD etc. Then I'd stick with the standard stuff personally. It does the job and you know it was made to do the job.

   I just used the stuff the oilman recommended...cant remember what it was though
