hey there ive just turboed my saxo ive got the mf2 5th injector tbh rather than spend hours playing i was wondering if any 1 could tell me roughty how theve set theres up?.. the spec is 7psi boost ph3 cams to be rough has any 1 got close to this with a turbo to tell me how far from 0 they turned each screw head out through each rmp range 1-8.. if this makes any sence to anybody cheers
mf2 rough set up ?

#2There is no such thing as it all depends on the map sensor used, inject used, fuel pressure used, turbo used and so on. Though saying that there not hard to get a basic setup with a air fuel gauge.

#3lol, rather then spend hours playing? i bet it blows up before then1 user thanked this post:

#4and why exactly would it blow up now?...... have u seen it have u built it is it your money on that engine? no no and no as i thought so if u got no constructive things to say please piss off and go reuin sum 1 elses thread, yours sincerly ryan,

#6still why would it blow up ??u cant just give banter and not back it up....

#7Its very easy to damage the engine once you introduce boost. Very quickly you will get detonation. I think the fact you talking about playing would give most the thought it may go badly. If you do a search on here a few people have asked how to go about setting up the map on the MF2. There should be useful threads for you to get it all up and running.

#8okay thanks i never literally ment playing i have a wideband o2 and i was going to turn them all to zero get my mate to adjust it as im driving down the road, ill search around more on here, i was just looking to find some ppls experiences and how theirs is set as to get a rough idea of mine as well if u catch my drift...

#9You should be fine then. Just start lower in the rev range and work your way up. The problem you will get is if you start running to rich the ECU will see and lean it out. So its a bit of a balancing act but should not be to hard as its relatively low boost.

#10and thats why the sigcon was made to stop the ecu interferring with the settings --but if the man is having problems setting up the M2 and won,t read the instruction manual --then this project sounds doomed .Quote:You should be fine then. .
to the poster --if you expect 50% MORE POWER THEN IT IS OBVIOUS YOU WILL NEED MORE THAN 50% more fuel and with no timing adjustment possible you are relying on the knock sensore to retard the timings to keep it safe .
read the manual before doing anything and understand what you are trying to achieve before driving it on boost -get the thresholds ste correctly first -
#11when im setting my sigcon up during the day its all ok gongin like a rocket but at night i experance a loss of power so i checked all the thresholds on the sigcon and all were out as i seem to be getting a voltage drop when the lights ,stero, and outhers are switched on is this cos im trying to work too fine tuneing or need to take this into account and have a wider tollerance on the thresholds sorry for the questions john but i just dont want to drive this at night just in case i do damage cheers

#12obvious answer is turn all the electrics in the day time --does it still not go correctly?--maybe its the cold air at night and you are too leanQuote:when im setting my sigcon up during the day its all ok gongin like a rocket but at night i experance a loss of power so i checked all the thresholds on the sigcon and all were out as i seem to be getting a voltage drop when the lights ,stero, and outhers are switched on is this cos im trying to work too fine tuneing or need to take this into account and have a wider tollerance on the thresholds sorry for the questions john but i just dont want to drive this at night just in case i do damage cheers
do you have a w/b with gauge?
If not how can you tell whats happenning +if you do you will see if its going rich or lean .
have you checked voltage in system --does it drop with all other electrics on ?
if so you have an alternator or wiring problem --bad earths + or power supplies -
#13i dont need to reply every thing i meant has been covered, no need to go e warrior. If you want to argue pm me

#14sorry about the late reply , yes the car dose lose power in the daytime with the rear demister on an heater and outher have got a afr with w/b and it runs lean when things turned on and slightly rich when off pluged dianostics comp in and system valtage at ecu is 11.8 when switched on and 12.4 when everything off alt test says voltage at 13.6 output and voltage ripple ok battery was new and tested yesterday and all ok all earths ok feeds good but the only thig is my ecu is a merrilli and had it changed about three to 4 years ago cos there was no rev counter signal apperantly howads replaced it at a cost of 500 quid and its been ok since but the rpm has stoped again have wired the mf2 to the crank sensor now and is ok i just thought it could be the power low makeing the injectors struggle so makeing it lean will take it to shop and get it set up properly cos it just sounds like i just havent got the hang of setting it up properly sorry for bothering u john cheers budQuote:obvious answer is turn all the electrics in the day time --does it still not go correctly?--maybe its the cold air at night and you are too lean
