leak from thermostat housing??

   ive got quite a bad leak from the thermostat housing its leaking where its connected to the block is it just a case off unbolting it from the block cleaning the faces re sealing and bolting back as im hoping it comes off lol its a mk2 vtr

   Yes, as you described, i believe there is a rubber o-ring that you will need to buy first to get it to seal back up

   They are an absolute fucking nightmare.
   
   i have had that on both my sax's
   
   what i do, its only a temp fix, but if you have to do it twice a year its well worth it.
   
   get some gasketlite or gasketseal or instant gasket stuff.
   
   take it all off, clean everywhere and just pile shit loads of that stuff on. then wait for it to dry then re-bleed your system back through again. will be as good as new.
