   Instead of buying an apex kit for £220 would I be able to just buy the dampeners and springs off ebay like these?

   I had new front shocks fitted about 10k miles ago so they should have plenty of life left in them to work with 50mm springs?

   They should be ok
   But its always better to fit uprated dampers/shockers

   For a good set up you want uprated shocks and springs all round surely you can sell your OE parts on to pay for a bit towards uprated ones.
