diesel turbo?

   i have been toying with the idea of putting a turbo on my vtr for some time now but dont really have the funds to do it. a mate of mine suggested using and reconditioning a turbo of a 306 and was just wondering if it was possible to do so and would i get a noticeable gain with it on ?

   Ugh a diesel turbo on a petrol car? I thought diesel turbo's worked different to petrol turbo's I.e diesel cannot hold pressure

   I'm sure turbos from diesels don't really work with petrol cars as they are made to run really low boost iirc I'll let someone i'n the know give you the answer

   The problem you can get is that most turbos fitted to diesel engines are unstable for use on petrol engines. Even if you find a suitable turbo they do take a lot of work to fit with many other costly parts.
