That is a very impressive Spec mate!

Cant wait to see some pics!

So are you gone be out on track with us or not?
  3. #3
    im wokring on it! lol
  4. #4
**** me! what a car! except the 17s imo. Suppose it doesnt really make a difference with a spec like that.

    jealous.
  5. #5
needs 17s to help put the power down, anything less it spins like crazy, otherwise i would have 15s
  6. #6
Sounds bloody awesome mate, will be interesting to see the graph

When does the turbo spool and see full boost if you know?
  7. #7
starts spooling at about 3k with full boost by 3.7k
  8. #8
f**kin hell mate when u sed it was an expensive hobby didnt relise u robbed a bank to fund it!
  9. #9
wow thats all im going to say
  10. #10

i cant believe the spec list on that ! is longer than the receipt after a weekly shop as tesco's .

i am looking forward to seeing this in the metal , all the best with the project .
  11. #11
can't wait to see her man

and how much BHP you will get???
  12. #12
will this beast be at fcs?
  13. #13
christ you must be minted!. how do you fund all that?.
  14. #14
most of its done by me so no labour, most expensive part was the ecu
  15. #15
this sounds amazing! very unique, whats the exterior description? and have you any idea on what power its pushing yet?
  16. #16
no idea on power yet, exterior apart from the wheels its std.
  17. #17
very impressive mate, look forward to seeing the finished car
  18. #18
Told you its going to be a beast LOL

    two words for you:

    YOUR MAD!</font>

i will give you a race at FCS, see who can do the slowest lap LOL
  19. #19
thats no spec thats a bible

thats really imprseive mate i wasnt expecting all that

hope it does make it to fcs
  20. #20
really useful boost range, what limit you thinking of or waiting for mapping to see when it tails off?
  21. #21
im setting the rev limiter at 7400, cant see me needing any more than that, although when i get my custom cams sorted that might need changing but then so will springs, and lifters depending on cam lift.

Thats if im allowed to spend any more lol
  22. #22
WOW. That is very impressive. If you don't mind me asking, how much have you spent roughly? That must be one of the best tuned saxos that I personally have heard of, if not the best. I LOVE the sound of it.
  23. #23
not sure to be honest. If i put a figure on it including buying the car, it would be around the 7k mark.
  24. #24
7k for a monster is a bargain, do you do all your own pipe work an stuff 2, did ya make the manifold or buy it?
  25. #25
I bet you've saved a fortune with the amount of work you have done yourself. I havn't got the guts or the funds to attempt stuff like that.
  26. #26
all the stuff has either been done by me or mates, amazing how far a few go
  27. #27
what tyres you thinking off, semis?

P.S. im going to steal it
  28. #28
its more secure than my house Not sure on tyres yet, its got crap ones on at the mo, but does for the mapping. When is FCS or the next event type thing?
  29. #29
27th May is the Day before FCS.. The Track Day!

Hope you can make it! Will be a monster!
  30. #30
Sounds like a monster mate, will be interesting to see the rr figures.
  31. #31
excellent spec ratty, look foward to seeing it one day,are you running launch/traction control aswell?
  32. #32
    yup
  33. #33
    LOL you r the dude
  34. #34
Is this in the AX or a Saxo?
  35. #35
saxo, ax went a while ago.
  36. #36
Sounds bloody awesome matey! You have to get it to fcs!

Wish I was able to do something like that!
  37. #37
Excuse me while I go change my undies, i seem to have made a mess (without meaning to sound too crude)

I'm coming to the FCS just to see this go now Ratty, if you manage to make it down that is

    Hats off Ratty, amazing stuff
  38. #38
the mysterious guy reveals all huh

sounds pretty unreal tbh mate, love to see it moving..
  39. #39
that is an unberlievable spec!! that will be awesome when its finished!
  40. #40
minter - been waiting a while for this!

Was the C2 head an alright fit?
  41. #41
7k including the car is a bargin for a spec like that

how much work was invloved in finding and fitting the c2 head and is there much benefit in fitting it (even to a n/a vts?)
  42. #42
c2 head has better cooling and breathing, not to mention the inlet and exhaust valves are alot bigger so with cams you will get alot more power, its just like having a ported big valve head.
  43. #43
so is it a pain in the arse to fit then?

might look into doing it if it decide to keep and tune the saxo
  44. #44
straight fitment to vts bottom end, you do however have to drill and tap the head to fit the vts inlet as the holes dont line up.
  45. #45
Get some pics/vids up of this beast. Sounds mint.
  46. #46
when i see this motor im going to bow down or salute you. one hell of a beast there
  47. #47
is it cheaper to do it this way then to do the standard head than ratty, does alternator have to be moved at all(i just heard it did)
  48. #48
Hey Ratty got to questions for you if you dont mind answering?
    1. Why have you used c2 vts engine and saxo inlet?
2.Have you designed the turbo set up yourself?

awsome spec by the way thinking of comeing to FCS just to see the her!
    cheers nik
  49. #49
like everyone has said mate, sounds like a very impressive motor. i hope it all runs well for you mate. looking forward to seeing the graph and vehcile if you make it to FCS.

    Good luck
  50. #50
That is one hella nice spec going on there mate, look forward to the finished product! omg....its gonna fly!

    1. C2 vts head has larger valves, better cooling, better breathing so ive gained better flow on the turbo and the head is much better than the saxo vts head (well the whole c2 engine is better than the saxo engine but i couldnt be arsed to swap my forged pistons over).

The C2 inlet has a motorised throttle body which is not compatible with my ecu (or most aftermarket unless you get a 2k motec) therefore to have a throttle I need to put the saxo inlet on, most people who use the c2 head for throttle bodies or turbos do this.

    2. Yes
  52. #52
would you consider doing this to my car ratty,i take it its cheaper than doing the vts head?
  53. #53
if you get the parts ill do the work
  54. #54
how long will the job take, and how much will it cost?what parts will i need?
  55. #55
depends what you want, pm me what you want and ill tell you.
  56. #56
what a car i well want it
  57. #57
Ratty whens your beast gona be on the road?
  58. #58
    fukin hell ratty

i take it its gunna be a petrol guzzler lmao

is the engine at a stage where it starts etc yet?
  59. #59
ive started it but got a wiring prob or crank sensor prob causing it to run on 3, just bought a laptop so i can diagnose what it is, but once it runs properly its practically done.
  60. #60
    cooooool

any ideas on the power it will have? 200+ bhp at least?
  61. #61
I want to see the shell this engine's in...
  62. #62
awesome car ratty! well impressed! no expense spared by the look of the spec!
  63. #63
Very nice indeed, what sort of gains are you hoping for mate?
  64. #64

  67. #67

  68. #68

I can see you starting a trend with the C2 head conversion, I cant wait to see the pics.

    I'm well jealous.
  69. #69
