cam belt time

   My 2002 saxo vts has just hit 70000 miles and I think it might be time for a cam belt change. Ive rang a few places and they have said around 300 pound for the job. I was thinking of sourcing the part myself to see if it is cheaper. Does anyone know where I could pick a cambelt kit up cheap or know of a good garage in the liverpool area who would fit it?

   a bloke from our local garage did mine on the side 8 V £30

   £300 bloody hell, Mine only cost me about £120, Ive only got a 1.1 but it cant be that much more work for a s can it??

   we charge £150 to change belt, belt tensioner and water pump on an S, using Gates belt and tensioner

   I paid £80 to have a full cambelt kit supplied and fitted
