secondary air injection

   Hi guys,
   
   i was just wondering if anyone knows what this is on my vts, i have tried to have a look around but it seems like there are lots of different answers, its fault code p0410 on OBD II tester.
   
   its classed as secondary air injection fault

   Sounds like an air leak somewhere. What are the symptoms?? High reving on idle say maybe around 2000 rpm?

   no nothing really, my vtr had a really bad idle but the vts idles well, im just being picky because my ecu light is on and its annoying me, but im not sure what it means!

   Well if it doesnt effect the running of the car it coudl eba n old fault that isnt cleared. Get the fault memory wiped then reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery and see what happens after a few days.

   i tried that and it came back on, stupid thing. it probably is an air leak somewhere, i just wondered if there is a specific area to check, thanks fo th advise though

   P0410 code is for a air injection to exhaust,you know that little air pump in front of PAS pump,check is it working,and maybe that valve thing above exhaust manifold is broken or valve is stuck open/closed

   ok, so i have had alook round, and it would appear that secondary air injection is the pulse air injection valve, which is the valve above the mani, with a pump in the left hand wheel arch, now i just need to test the bl**dy thing.
