brakes funny or it just me?

    alrite peeps just a quick question really on my brakes when i go to brake there is like a bit o pay could you call it that before they acually start to bite couple cms not much but duno if supposed to be like that and also there not like fully hard till like right at the bottom there kind of soft and if i full on stamp on them can only get the back ones to lock up never the front there newish pads and disc's do they need adjusting and maybe rebleeding?

    yeah i get that lol i can like also push my pedal right to the floor with bit of effort in my dads car cant get anywere near it lol they seem to work though just dont seem right or is that just the way they are

    They "seem" to work.
    Do they stop you quick enough, or do you find your braking distances are longer than others?

    duno aint tryed anyone elses and they seem to work just feel i have to push the pedal along way before they seem to work lol

    Briaded brake lines eliminate some of that, as the brake lines u have now are rubber, when you apply pressure to the pedal, the brake lines expand, causing a spongy pedal feel. Braided applications dont "buldge" as much causing better pedal feel, also you may benifit from bleeding the system and renewing your brake fluid for a more uprated one.

    but yeah dont think it cause of the lines and that think they just need some new fluid and that and am sure you can adjust the pedal or somthing read it the other day some where

    I know your not dumb
    The GTE is using 5Dot1 Fluid, get some of that lol.

    to be fair mate i think my brakes are crap until i need to use them quick then they stop me fine think its bit of a mental thing. try pumpin them quick if they lock

    yeah this is like mine to be honest just got on with it ... its the same as my dads we both got mk1's where as my mothers mk2 the squishyness of the pedel isnt there i dunno what it is but i really wanna find out aswell its so annoying im usually pressing the break down before i need to and its doing nothing to stop till i really force it down

    hmmm yeah still though want them to work all the time no just when some one steps off the path haha
    lol well would pump um if they acually did lock will see what my mechanic says then will have ago at putting some new stuff in
