Lowering 1.1 On VTR Wheels

    I get rub when on full lock occasionally (Depending on what I've eaten earlier) so would I need any work on the arches if I were to drop by say 40mm ?

    Should'nt get any rubbing at all i think.

    before its lowered you shouldnt get any rubbin. I had this problem on a old saxo, turns out it was previously in a crash and chasis was twisted. Check under car and see the distance between the drive shaft and wishbone mount to see if both gaps are equal.

    are we talking on just the front here? I'm down -45 on VTR alloys and don't get any rubbing in the slightest. Even on full lock there is a reasonable gap between the tyre and arch liner.

    Rubbing on the rear with VTR alloys is a bit more understandable - that's easily fixed with a bit of arch work
