confused by the lowering situation

    alo everyone already posted a thread about lowering but i dint make it very clear erm so yeah do i just lower the torsion bar and thats it or do i need to but sports shocks ?? i wanna do it asap as i get my vtr alloys back from bein refurbed thursday and they been sprayed white so i wanna do it all in 1 if i can some point next week all help will be great cheers guys

    depends how much you are lowering by, imo go lower then 40mm drop and uprated shocks to suit are needed, less then 40mm they are desirable but not essential. people may disagree but as i say, just my opinion

    alright brilliant cheers erm i wanna lower about 30mm coz my mate has a vtr and lowered 40mm and like drivin about with no suspension so i think 30mm will do ok but sport shocks from demon tweeks start from £30 and up to £350 so il have a think about the shocks. anything else you recommend do to make it handle betta other than strutt braces ?? cheers

    If you want better handeling bracing the chassis is pointless unless your suspension is hard enough to flex it IMO
    I would say get shocks and decent fron springs then some bushes

    and as said you don't need uprated shocks to lower (I know people -60mm on standard) but the ride is shocking

    also on about your mates car being like it has no suspension that's more to do with setup than height

    alright cheers yeah ill get some shocks and springs for the front thanks everyone
