New steering rack 240 on its own 340 with fitting and vat ???

Hi i jut got a quote from my garage saying that a used steering rack would be 240 they said they got it down as much as possible. Surely this is 2 expensive for a rack. It would be 340 altogther with fitting and vat. Can anyone give me some advise on if i can get it cheaper if so where from. Or any adivse would be useful. Thanks

haha, thats a rip off mate. I got a manual one refurbished for £32 posted with 2 year gurentee.

Check on eBay for refurbished ones, bet theyre under £100.

£100 fitting is ok, not cheap, not expensensive...its an arsehole of a job.

i haver a rack that has been fully refurbished.

£80 and im in grimsby, lincolnshire.

i also have good used racks in £30 each.

i thought it was a rip off bth not the garages fault they just cant find a cheap one. WIll look on ebay do these look ok

This ones manual so is it different to the original if so any disadvantages

Hi whats the advantages of gettin the fully refurbished one rather then gettin a good used one. I jut want one that will last for a while i can't afford to do this again. I'm in lincoln so i'm not far away. Thanks

refurb will be like a brand new one.

all the used ones i have in are tested and working fine.
