K&N 57i

    Hi all,

Would you say the K&N 57i is a good kit for a saxo? Its the main one that I see advertised on the internet and on here. I know there are other makes but I haven't seen any for sale that look as good as the K&N.

    Thanks.

Used to have a 57i kit on my 1.9 gti

Lost top end power , gained loads of torque

would a green cotton filter be better

They are good if your just after the noise.. open filters sometimes result in loss of power, but if your on a tight budget take one K&N all day long..

personally shop around, i beleive some sites are clearing out BMC's at £130 i.e spoox motorsport

I used a drill and a hole-saw to cut out a cold air feed straight from the grill (cold fee'd sits in the slampannel hiden from view, as most cold feed inductions use the origonal feed which isnt big, and enclosed filters are just up against the slam pannel without any good ammount of air getting in.

BMC and Green induction kits are very effective but are reflected in price. Open cone filters dont get much better than K&N, or speaking from experience green cotton filters
