Does any body know if the bigger rad off a mk2 vtr would fit my mk1 vtr. My rad seems tiny compared to what ive seen on the mk2 and mine is running hot all the time, i dont think the rad is man enough for the job!

#3Thanks for confirming, i thoght so. When i saw bootom hose i knew it looked longer. Cheers bud

#4If its running hot all the time there is a reason for this, citroen dont just fit parts to production cooling systems "that arent up to the job"

#5As above, it is quite likely that the radiator cooling fins have rusted out. Don't fuck about with fitting a different one, just get a new replacement for yours and bleed it properly using antifreeze water mix 50/50.

#6I only bought the car 2 weeks ago and looks like its had a new rad, maybe it wasnt bled properly when it was fitted. Think i will get the system bled again PROPERLY!!

#7You dont need to cut the bottom hose, i fitted the 16v rad to my saxo when it went 16v from the small 1.4 rad and all i did was crawl under the car and pull the hose round the side abit more so its got more slack and know it dont rub on anything iv checked it loads and i done this 2 months ago. If you do fit a bigger rad it could be a problem in the winter.
