Im just doing the clutch on my VTR and wondering how hard it is to fit a gaiter to my power steering rack as its perished to buggery and exposed to the elements. Only had a quick look as was going dark. Anybody done this before?
How hard is it to fot a power steering rack gaiter?

#2i did mine a week ago..
remove the airbox.. look towards the bulkhead and you will see a torx bolt on the rack.. its connected to the mount where the steering arms connect.
Undo the torxbolt and remove.. turn the steering wheel (left i believe) and hey presto,the steering arm mounting comes away just enough to get the gaiter off and on.. takes about 15 mins..
when putting the steering arm mounting back on, try and get it in the same position as before as your steering wheel will be out of alignment and your rack will knock when turning..
