saxo lost drive...

   ive got a mk2 16v vtr, so has obv had the conversion, could be the main problem but who knows lol.. its just had head skimmed, head gasget done, new spark plugs, a good service and since have had it back havnt had any problems. just left work on way home, literaly as left have gone to change from 1st to 2nd, have got it into 2nd put my foot down and absolutely no power! didnt do a thing, took outa gear, put back into 2nd and was fine, litle bit further up the road went to go from 3rd to 4th, put it in 4th, put my foot down and nothing hapend. took it outa gear, put it back into 4th and then was fine back to normal. and was fine all the way back.
   gearbox maybe?
   any help much appreciated

   havnt a clue..
   never had this problem before.
   seemed ok after the 2 incidents..
   but may happen again.
   it wet into gear fine, was just no power in it until came out and reselected it.
   linkgaes would have made awkward geting into gear? wouldnt it?
