Should I worry about rust?????

  1. #1
Might be a silly topic, but...

I have the usual but very very little surface rust around the spare wheel area and some in engine bay below the ecu area (wheel arches).
It just like bubbling under the paint... nothing broken through, the pervious owner was a fan of waxoil as its all over the place.

Should i catch it now??, clean back, treat and protect for future????

    or not worry too much.....

or what are the spots to look for i.e. mto failures etc etc etc

    thanks

spots to look are under ecu and fuse box, and boot floor/arches... catch it early then no need to worry about it

    So I should:
    **Clean back to metal
**treat with rust guard (which turns the rust beaten metal solid again, to stop coming back)
    **do i paint????
**Wax oil or hammerite the areas?????

not 100% sure mate, but take it back to clean metal, and protect, totally up to you which method you chose.. if it is seen areas mite need to have it coded to the car.. :/
