okay before i get sloughtered for this im just looking at it and want to know for the sake of knowing,

i have a garrett gt23 turbo taken from a mercades diesel amg i think its was an e55 but im not sure any how it was 340 bhp " aparently "

im doing a turbo conversion on my saxo its a diy conversion and ive had problems getting a turbo after my fiesta rs turbo blew up... so im left with this gt23 its in perfect condition no play what so ever in the shafts and was fine wen it came off the car.... as im not using a decomp plate ect i just want low boost im only going to run 6-7psi .......

i have a front mounted intercooler, im going to run the mf2 setup, and i have all varous other bits.... i dont however have a 2bar map sensor.. do i need 1? i was planning on just taking the one off my fiesta and running a vaccume hose to the little nipple on it from the manifold would that work?

if any 1 knows the spec on the gt23 as for what rpm it would spool up at ect and various other bits would be helpful to just know...

There should be a plate on the turbo with its ID on. It will have something like GT2359V on it along with a serial number. If you post that up along with the marking cast in to the housing that will give use a better indication of what the turbo is. A photo is always helfull as well. I think however the turbo you have may be next to useless. There a turbo with diesel specific parts if its what i think it is. Its only a guess though.

People have run the sort of boost your looking at with out lowering the compression but the mapping and cooling would be critical. The cheap way is simply to fit two head gaskets. It works fine for the boost your looking at. Yes you would require a 2 bar map sensor. Its how the MF2 works. You would be best off getting a sigcon2 or 3 as well. That or go for stand alone engine management.

Edit, are not all the E55s petrol?
