i am a sprayer by trade and youll get what you pay for. as for the time it will take, that will depend on how much prep ypu have to do. if you want a good finish pay the money if your not too bothered then go for it. but if our having to ask then i wouldnt attempt it. hope this helps

you're best off getting some scrap panels from the scrappy and having a go at it!! spraying a whole car with no experience is abit of a shot in the dark. get abit of practice in first

Are we talking about just the bonnet or whole car? i'm in the process of respraying my whole car and i've taken up to 2 weeks just to prep it, just a bonnet won't be hard, be sure to use a spray gun and compressor, rattle cans will look crap.

well unless somone quoted him 1500 to spray a bonet, he's gotta mean the whole car. personally i wouldnt attempt this, swapping your car would be cheaper lol
also i believed it should be "Advice" not "Advise"

1500 is dirt cheap for a colour change. and unless you have a big garage thats dust free or atleast a tent in the garden i high power compressor warm weather and a good spray gun its not going to look that good. if anything stick with matt colours if you can and remember good prep work gives a good finish just take ya time and do all the door shuts first and under the bonnet and boot then use foam edging to mask it off. if your going to do it then i would use ici turbo ice white from a good paint supplier as it dries by air in 3 hours and completely dry in 48 its made for lorrys so shines like shit without having a good finish hope this helps. if not then i woud get saving mate painting is the hardest thing u can do and to get it looking right.

i've spent about 300 quid doing mine, that included paint, ( ecth primer, high build primer, base coat, laq.
then you need masking tape, thinners, panel wipe.
you also need sanding equipment, orb sander, sand paper( all different grades)
then find the best dust free place you can find (spray booth is the best)
then you need a spray gun and compressor.
hope this helps.
