*URGENT* snapped bleed nipple

    just fitted new beam on the vtr, but the O/S bleed nipples snapped!

    checked the ones that come with the beam and there snapped too.... so i have 2 o/s and 1 n/s that i cant do nothing with!!!

    anyone know how i can sort brakes out or where i can get a caliper from asap????

    internet is ur friend probs ebay for a 2nd hand one or if u want new ones then type it into google, it happened to my mate and he managed to drill out the left over bit that was in the calpier and not wreck the thread god knows how tho!

    take them to a garage we can drill them out and helicoil a new thread in them will cost about 5 quid a calliper and only takes 5 mins mate.

    refuse to pay £60+ for 1 new one!!! lol

    rather pay 40 quid to buy a dril n do all 3 n then flog ma spares

    well i got 3 calipers all brokenen nipples... can i buy new nipples on there own???

    yeah any motorspares sell nipples from about 50p to 10 quid the vtr ones cost 2 quid and should be replaced every time u bleed brakes.

    can always try bleeding the caliper where the pipe enters it, i've had to do that many times when nipples have shown no signs of coming out or snapping

    hows that work??? pump the brake as though i would with the nipple and wait for it backing up on the brake line???

    sorted it and now have 2 O/S calipers with new nipples

    took it to my local garage, he welded onto the piece that was stuck in and then after a few attempts managed to get it to crack open.... did both for £8 and even gave me nipples!!! lol

    I know you've got it sorted, but there's a pug and citreon breakers in Ilkeston if your ever stuck for parts again. It's not that far from chesterfield, they're pretty good for price, I've made a few trips there myself
