urgent help needed

I've been having problems with my saxo misfiring following the cam belt snapping, I stripped it all down, changed all gaskets, had 2 new exhaust vlaves fitted (all were checked by an auto engineering firm and only found 2 damaged), rebuilt it all, connected everything back up properly but still have a small misfire on it. It's been off the road for over a year now and I'm really out of ideas why it could be misfiring, I was thinking lamda sensor or Idle control sensor? I'm guessing it's all down to being stood for so long....
Can anyone shed some light on this for me as I have booked an MOT for tomorrow as I need the car back on the road for work, Thanks

had the head skimmed, got another coil pack (no improvement), I've had new plugs and leads and the cambelt was timed to the marks, I've tried a tooth in both directions and it makes the misfire worse so I assume the timing is good. I cleaned all the sensors, the lamda sensor is only 3 years old but when I've been trying to get the thing running it's been caped in black crap, I cleaned it off the outside but I'm thinking it's all crapped up inside and this might be the problem?
I drove to the MOT this morning and there's a total lack of power (I'm still waiting for the verdict on pass or fail, but I think it'll fail the emissions)
