mk2 r wheels with flat seated bolts

I ran a mk2 vtr wheel on the rear axle a year ago with flat seated wheel bolts and it was fine. As you may know the Mk2 VTR wheel bolts are straight before having a slight taper at the end. The flat seated wheel bolts fit fine but I've always wondered if they aren't holding on the wheel that little bit more and whether they would cause minor wheel wobble/damage to the hub over time.

Hi-q have recently f*cked my official citroen locking wheel nuts and replaced them with citroen flat seated locking wheel bolts, identical to those found on the vts wheels and the mk1 vtr wheels Should I expect any issues as the taper isn't filled and demand they buy the official parts or will the wheels be fine? (all the other wheel bolts have the slight taper as to be expected from mk2 vtr wheel bolts). Imo I can see them being fine but those who have run mk2 R wheels on mk1 R wheel bolts your input is required

my mk2 has straight bolts with a washer, no taper?? (mine is a early 2000, with 90bhp engine tho)
i would have fort that if the wheel was ment to have tapered bolts, it would be best to have tapered bolts, maybe they just replaced the locking wheel nut with a straight one as that is what you had before.

Sorry, the locking wheel nut was tapered before they replaced it (all bolts for the last year have been mk2 tapered). They purely replaced it because they rounded the bolt off and they seem to have just bought a standard saxo locking wheel bolts.

Is the slight taper you're on about shown below?

If so, that taper has nothing to do with holding on your alloys, It's to allow you to use a normal steel wheel as a spare.

For sure, as above alloy wheel=flat bolt and steel wheel=taper
