Fuel Regulator?

   hi... my Fuel Regulator on my vtr is not the standard 1 the person who had the car befor me must of put it on to make the car a little faster but now im haveing problems with speed as u all no vtrs are quick at seting off from traffic lights etc but ive lost that good power vtrs have the top speed is fine its just the seting off speed its not as fast as it was im thinkin there could be a problem with the fuel Regulator as this is what most garages are sayin to me because ive had all other jobs that needed doing on my car like headgasket etc
   do any of u have any ideas please

   1. where are you from?
   2. is it a VTS or VTR or the rare VTRS
   
   we need alittle more info mate like any dash lights on is it really noticable the power loss???

   im living in blackpool and its a vtr r reg.
   
   and the power isent really that bad not noticable at all no dash lights at all mate
   i just feel its not a fast as it was can u help me out mate?

   my exhaust is blowing aswell that cnt be helping i bet its loseing power were the blow is in the exhaust. aswell im thinking the Fuel Regulator
