Power steering is so heavy!! Help!!

    Hello...

    I've been browsing on the forum looking for possible reasons why my power steering feels like I'm carrying a 20 tonne lorry behind me!! But I am ONLY having issues with the power steering and NOT the heated rear window and interior heater.

    I drive a 1.1 Saxo 2001 reg...

    I'll be taking her to a garage, but I don't wanna get ripped off with what's wrong, so if anyone has any ideas, please help :-)

    is the any fuild in the power sterering pump a pipe might have a split in!

    Ditto that sounds like out of fluid. If its lowered probably burst the pipe by the bulkhead just above the steering link arm.

    or, Fuse, Pump relay or Pump itself.

    If you are getting a ''sweet'' smell then you will be leaking fluid?
