    Bumo, anyone?
  3. #3
take it you have the earli mk2 engine?
  4. #4
No mate, the later 98bhp one, does that make it more awkward?
  5. #5
yes, wont fit, you'll need to convert to a 90hp head for the inlet to fit, otherwise the port spacings will not fit, having now ruined 2 rallye inlets cutting and welding them trying to get them to fit the 98hp head correctly i can safely say you need a 90hp head!

Ahh ok thanks a lot for that mate, saved me a lot of hassle! Don't think it would be worth converting back to a 90 bhp head cause I'm guessing I'd just end up with around the same power wouldn't I ?

more than likely, as the cam itself wouldnt fit from the 98hp head into the 90hp, unless you cammed it, any other plans?
  8. #8
Well I'm debating a cam but am unsure of what to go for because of not being able to afford a remap at the same time, so would need to run ok without a remap if that makes sense to you?

you'd need a very mild to cam to run without a remap or standalone, have you done simple breathing mods already?

Yes mate, decent filter, and got a new de-cat mani and system on the way

Cant you Run the s1 Head on the 98bhp bottom end ? then you could use the inlet, ecu and loom ?
  12. #12
I thought that but a mate of mine with a s1 rallye has a spare inlet so wondered if it would work
  13. #13
Get the rallye head then ?, then you can use the inlet ecu and loom and could be running about 110bhp

I'll have to try and source one then
